Deceptor Max 2.0 or 3.0?
The Deceptor Max 3.0 adds onboard AI false-image filtering and live view; the 2.0 is the lower-cost option with a longer 100-ft rating.
Do I need a data plan?
Yes. Plans are bought through Stealth Cam’s Command PRO app. Without signal, the camera keeps saving images to internal memory and sends them when it reconnects.
Where should you set up the Deceptor Max 2.0?
Strap it to a tree 3–4 ft high and about 20–35 ft from the trail, scrape or feeder you want to watch, angled slightly across the travel route rather than straight at it. With a 100-ft detection range it can cover a food plot edge, but most of the sharpest photos come from the first 30–40 ft. Face it north or south where possible so sunrise and sunset do not trigger false images or blow out the frame.
