Description
Reconyx HyperFire 4K LPC Camera: 4K surveillance camera with license plate capture at up to 40 mph, 150 ft IR, 0.25 s trigger, dual mics.
Most trail cameras cannot read a moving license plate at night. The LPC mode uses a dedicated exposure setting and IR range to capture plates, while General Surveillance mode records people and activity in true 4K with dual microphones.

Is it legal to record license plates?
Recording on your own property is generally legal in the US, but laws on audio recording and signage vary by state; check local rules.
How should you set up the Reconyx HyperFire 4K Surveillance LPC License Plate Camera?
Mount it 3 to 6 ft high where it has a clear view of the entry point you want to watch, with the sun behind or to the side of the lens. Test the angle by walking through the frame at walking pace and checking the result in the app or on the card. In cold weather, use lithium batteries; for long deployments, add external or solar power where the camera supports it. Check local laws on recording people, audio and license plates, and post signage where required.
