Who is the Benchmark for?
Target shooters who want to see small holes at long range in good light, and stargazers or birders who want very high magnification on a budget.
Is 125x useful for hunting?
Rarely. Above about 60x, heat shimmer, haze and the tiny exit pupil (0.64 mm at 125x) make the image dim and unstable. For hunting, use it at 25–50x on a heavy tripod; for serious glassing an HD scope such as the Athlon Argos HD is the better tool.
What tripod do I need?
A sturdy, full-size tripod. At high magnification even small vibrations blur the image.
